Boil Ice is designed to function entirely on your device.

Information We Collect

Boil Ice does not collect, transmit, store, or process personal information on external servers.

The App does not require account creation, does not use analytics services, and does not include advertising or tracking technologies.

All information entered into the App — including emergency contact details, lawyer information, language preference, and app settings — is stored locally on your device only and is not accessible to Bolandia Creative Inc.

Camera and Microphone

If you choose to use the recording feature, the App accesses your device’s camera and microphone solely to record video during an encounter. Recordings are saved directly to your device’s camera roll. The App does not upload, transmit, or store recordings externally.

Location

If you choose to send an emergency notification, the App retrieves your current location at that moment solely to include in the SMS message. Location data is not continuously tracked, stored, or retained by the App or by Bolandia Creative Inc.

Contacts

If you select a contact within the App, access to your Contacts is used only for that selection. Contact data is not uploaded, stored externally, or shared.

App Store and Platform Providers

Boil Ice is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Apple and Google may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Bolandia Creative Inc. does not control or access that data.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. However, the App is not specifically directed toward children under 13 (or 16 where applicable).

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including recording laws, consent requirements, and local regulations. Laws vary by jurisdiction, and users are responsible for understanding the laws where they are located.

No Interference With Law Enforcement

The App is intended for personal rights awareness and documentation. It is not intended to assist in evading law enforcement, obstructing official duties, or interfering with government actions.

No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” Bolandia Creative Inc. makes no guarantees regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or outcomes resulting from use.

Limitation of Liability

Bolandia Creative Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to legal outcomes, recording consequences, emergency response outcomes, or device malfunction.

Device Responsibility

All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and ensuring recordings or communications are handled appropriately.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
